Leafy Greens

Mom was right when she said to โ€œeat your greens!โ€ (Mom is always right!) Dark green leafy vegetables are the healthiest foods on the planet, packing the most nutrition per calorie. Unfortunately, greens get a bad rep for their taste. Take kale for example, somewhat bitter and grassy tasting right? Try buying baby kale, a more tender variety. Two servings of leafy greens are recommended…so two servings of 1 cup raw or 1/2 cup cooked greens and you’re good to go!ย
